DoctorTora Greece – Terms of Use
Dear User,
Please read these Terms carefully before using the DoctorTora Service.
DoctorTora provides tele-health services to Users. By accessing, downloading or using the DoctorTora application, Users agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (hereafter referred to as “Terms”) and our Privacy policy. If Users do not agree to these Terms, they are not authorized to use DoctorTora.
Definitions
Swedish Care DoctorTora Greece AE (hereafter referred to “DoctorTora”) is a company registered in Greece that offers tele-health services (hereafter referred to “The Service”) via the DoctorTora Mobile Application (hereafter referred to as “The App”, “The Application” or “DoctorTora”) and website.
The use of ‘You’ or ‘Users’ refers to individuals using DoctorTora, and “Caregivers” refers to individuals who may use DoctorTora to supervise or support other Users.
Privacy & Data Protection
As a company operating in the European Union, DoctorTora operates under the European Parliament General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)’ (EU) 2016/679 as detailed in Hellenic Law 4624/2019 (Data Protection Law), a comprehensive data protection framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information in general and health data in particular. We also comply with Hellenic Law 3471/2006 regarding the protection of personal data and privacy in the field of electronic communications. For further details see our Privacy policy.
About DoctorTora
PLEASE NOTE THAT DoctorTora IS NOT DESIGNED FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SUPPORT. IT IS ONLY DESIGNED FOR NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL CONSULTATIONS.
PLEASE NOTE THAT, EXPLICIT PARENTAL CONSENT IS REQUIRED FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA OF CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.
Users agree to DoctorTora performing the following Services:
Users agree to an online video call, where Users can meet, consult, or request a second opinion from healthcare professionals. The online video calling service is a service where Users can consult health professionals about their health concerns, diseases, diagnosis, prescriptions and treatment options and receive advice and guidance on related topics. Healthcare professionals will make their evaluations based on information provided by You. Where the healthcare professional determines that a physical examination is required, you will be recommended to attend a medical facility of your choice. You may choose to share the outcomes of The Service via the reporting function of the App. Video or audio recording will only be taken with your explicit consent. The Company currently does not take and store any recordings.
Users must create an account with DoctorTora to use The Services. When creating an account, Users agree to provide accurate and complete information about themselves. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their account.
DoctorTora is only available for adults who are 18 years of age or older at the time of registration. Children 16 years of age and older can create an account and access the Service only by providing written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Under no circumstances should DoctorTora be used by children, and DoctorTora will not knowingly collect personal information from any child unless authorized by a parent or legal guardian.
If you are using DoctorTora for the benefit of a child, please do not provide information relating to the child, unless you have obtained the child’s parents’ or legal guardians’ consent, including their consent to our Privacy Policy. If you discover that your child has been using DoctorTora without your consent, or that someone has been using the App for or on behalf of your child without your consent, please contact us using the information below under “How to Contact Us,” and we will take reasonable steps to delete the child’s information from our active databases.
You may not provide access to or use DoctorTora or Content (as defined below) thereof for the benefit of third parties or make commercial use of DoctorTora or related Content, but you may use DoctorTora for your personal use subject to these Terms. Use of and access to DoctorTora is void where prohibited by these Terms. By accessing and using DoctorTora, you shall ensure that:
Users agree to use DoctorTora only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not violate the rights of, or cause harm to, any third party. Users are prohibited from using the App to transmit any malicious or illegal content, including but not limited to viruses, spyware, or other harmful code.
As a User, if you submit any information to us through or related to the Service including business information, feedback, ideas, concepts or invention to us by email, you shall ensure that such information is not confidential and that you have all necessary permission to submit or otherwise make available such information.
You further agree that:
You agree not to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Service or to disrupt the operations or violate the security of the Service. Violations of system or network operation or security may result in civil or criminal liability. We will investigate possible occurrences of such violations, and we may involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting anyone involved with such violations. You agree to comply with all User responsibilities and obligations as stated in these Terms. Non-enforcement or failure to act with respect to a breach by You or other Users of these Terms does not constitute consent or waiver, and we reserve the right to enforce such terms at our sole discretion.
The DoctorTora app and DoctorTora.gr are updated continuously and we have the right to, without prior approval from Users, make changes to the DoctoraTora app and DoctorTora.gr at any time. Such changes can, for example, refer to changes to the technical solution to provide the services, as well as the design and layout of the platform. The changes may mean that certain functions change, are removed, and/or added.
The Company does not warrant or guarantee that DoctorTora will function with your mobile or computing device or be compatible with the hardware or software on any devices. Information will be transmitted over a medium that will be beyond our control and jurisdiction; multiple factors, including network availability, may affect alert or notification delivery or otherwise interfere with the operation of DoctorTora.
Although we take reasonable measures to keep DoctorTora free of viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other code that contain destructive properties, we do not warrant or guarantee that files available for downloading through the Service will be free of such contamination.
We have no obligation to provide technical support or maintenance for the App. The User may report any bugs or abnormal function to info@doctortora.gr.
DoctorTora is responsible for the availability of the Service. Users will normally have access to the App every day of the week, with the exception of periodic system maintenance. DoctorTora reserves the right to temporarily interrupt availability at any time for system service and maintenance purposes.
Availability to the App does not guarantee that healthcare personnel will be available at all times. The times available for the User to access a consultation are shown in the information in the App.
DoctorTora User service is normally available on weekdays between 0900am and 1700pm.
DoctorTora is provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind. DoctorTora makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the App or the information, content, materials, or products included in the Application. To the full extent permissible by law, the App disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
DoctorTora may investigate suspected violations of these Terms or illegal and inappropriate behavior through the App. Please note that we will fully cooperate with any law enforcement investigation or court order directing us to disclose the identity, behavior or activities of anyone believed to have violated these Terms or to have engaged in illegal behavior.
You may request termination of your account at any time and for any reason and you may exercise your rights according to the Hellenic Law 4624/2019 (Data Protection Law), by sending an email to our data privacy office at dpo@doctortora.gr . More information about your rights pertaining to the GDPR can be found in our Privacy policy.
DoctorTora will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
The App and all its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, and software (collectively, the “Materials”), are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and are owned or controlled by DoctorTora or the party credited as the provider of the Materials. You acknowledge and agree that the Materials are made available to you as a service, and that your use of the Materials is limited by these Terms and any additional terms that apply to specific Materials.
The Services and Materials may not be used, copied, reproduced, distributed, transmitted, broadcast, displayed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any other purposes without the prior written consent of The Company or the respective intellectual property owners.
You may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, create derivative works from, or in any way exploit, any of the Materials, in whole or in part, except as expressly permitted in these Terms.
To the extent not limited or restricted under any applicable copyright law or regulation, you are granted permission to temporarily download one copy of the App for personal, non-commercial use only on each mobile device that you own or control.
DoctorTora reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms and any changes made to them. Continued use of the App after any changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We accept no responsibility or liability for any material provided or posted by a User, at the User’s sole discretion. DoctorTora will make a reasonable effort to monitor and moderate the content posted by Users for any obvious illegal content. If you believe that something appearing on the App infringes any right of you, you may send us a notice requesting that it be removed, or access to it blocked. We suggest that you consult your legal advisor before filing a notice. Be aware that there can be substantial penalties for false claims. It is our policy to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Send notices to dpo@doctortora.gr.
Termination
These Terms are effective until terminated by either the User or DoctorTora. The User may terminate at any time, provided that you discontinue any further use of the App. If the User violates these Terms, our permission to use DoctorTora automatically terminates. We may, at our sole discretion, terminate the User and your access to the App, at any time and for any reason.
Upon notice of termination by either You or DoctorTora, You must promptly uninstall the App on all of your devices and destroy all Materials downloaded or otherwise obtained from DoctorTora and all copies of such Materials.
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction of The Hellenic Republic.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the User and DoctorTora and supersede all prior agreements and understandings between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof.
